3 ways Everest College offers an effective approach to career training

An education is something no one can ever take away from you. Time also fits into that category – you can never earn back the time you spend preparing for a new career. Everest College understands the truth in both of those statements. That’s why their curriculum and approach to career training is focused on helping students accomplish their goals of finding new careers they’ll truly enjoy.

The business, technology and health care programs offered at Everest College prove you don’t need four years to complete an education that can help you move forward in your career. They offer efficient program schedules that allow students to complete their training in as little as one year!

How do they do it?

National Job Fair & Training Expo: Planning Tips

JOB FAIR 101: Create an Action Plan Before Attending
Familiarize yourself with hiring patterns in your desired sector.
TORONTO - The upcoming National Job Fair & Training Expo - September 27 and 28 - is a jackpot of potential employment opportunities—but it takes planning, patience and perseverance to make one work for you.
The fair’s significant size and popularity — over 140 exhibitors showcasing to approximately 10,000 visitors — means those who attend need to organize in advance a strategy for success.
“A lot of people come out, and you don’t have a lot of time to talk to recruiters, so you need to make the best use of your time, because you never get a second chance to make a first impression,” says Daniel Levesque, president and show manager.
Before even attending the fair, create an action plan for which zones you’d like to visit, and the specific organizations with which you’d like to score an interview. On the fair’s website,, you may review the exhibitor list, as well as a floor plan of the event to learn where exhibitors will be located.

"Thank You Access Business College" - An Open Letter from a Graduate.

Thank You Access Business College!

Through Second Career, I was given the opportunity to return to school to update my skills. My decision on a program was easy as my passion is Financial Services. As part of the Second Career process, I had to investigate several Private Career Colleges as well as a Public Community College. I called and arranged to come in for an information meeting with the College Director. I was so impressed with the manner in which the director took the time to explain the school's objectives, programs, standards and schedules. I could tell by looking around the classes and offices that they really cared about their students. I walked out of my information meeting at Access Business College knowing this is where I wanted to attend.

I have been in the Banking Financial Services Program at Access Business College for six months. Sta and students at Access Business College come from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, but everyone is like family. If anyone needs anything, someone is there to help them out. We all support and mentor each other. The staff are all very educated and knowledgeable. The instructors are able to understand and adapt to individual student needs and learning styles. I am so thankful for this opportunity and hope to be able to mentor others in future endeavours.

As a result of my job search and sending resume, I got an opportunity for my first interview and also the second interview which were conducted successfully. As a result of my job readiness, I was offered a position of Senior CSR with Bank Of Montreal starting April 04, 2011, 8 weeks prior to my graduation.

Thank you for all your support and accommodating me after my school hours to finish my subjects and to successfully receive my diploma. Special thanks to the staff, teachers, and students who have offered their guidance, feedback and shared their stories.
